“Earlier this year the tension and in-home fighting between our 2 already-disobedient dogs got so bad that we couldn't have both of them in the same house. We had taken the dogs to dog psychologist, had them on anti-anxiety meds, and used other trainers but none yielded much result. Besides the fighting between them, Turnip had bad anxiety issue, excessive barking, fear-driven aggression towards people coming into our apartment. Uni was over-protective of me and could get unpleasantly reactive to strangers and other dogs...we were really at our wits' end when I decided to try Board & Train. I did tons of research and spoke to 3 different trainers at length. Kim came highly recommended and I knew she would be the one after our first call.
Mind you, Uni was very weary towards strangers and he had scared away a few dog walkers, and Turnip was so anxious he could turn on someone in a split second when startle. Kim was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the whole session. She would send multiple video and photos every day and update us on their progress. We really love that Kim and Andrew are both wonderful trainers and a great team. Throughout the session, they were encouraging and supportive, but also clear about our responsibilities and expectations. The dogs were doing so well with them we sent them back for boarding for a month when I had to travel overseas. It has been 3 months after their session, and they haven't had a fight! They really came back like 2 different dogs. Kim still follows up frequently and has been offering ongoing support since. Sending them to Kim was really the best investment we have made. We really can't say enough good things about Kim and Andrew. They basically saved us from having to re-home one of them. “

Clarity K9, Kim and her husband Andrew, are the ONLY company I will let watch or train my dogs. If they don’t have space for my two pups(one senior and one 3 Y/O) then I’m not taking my trip plain and simple. Aside from training and boarding at the highest level I’ve experienced and that’s including all the big name places in Manhattan when I traveled for a living Kim was also previously a vet tech and aided me in finding out one of my dogs had a life threatening illness. I really can’t say enough about Kim and Andrew. They are family.

“Clarity K9 has made a world of difference in our relationship with our puppy, Drew. Drew is an energetic Dalmatian, and the first few months with her were difficult. We didn’t know to properly build a relationship with her, or how to get her to walk on a leash without pulling, or how to learn house rules and manners. From the first two sessions we learned we needed to start with learning how to pay with her first. Kimberlee patiently went through play sessions with us which helped us not only learn how to channel and expend Drew’s energy constructively, but also helped us build rapport with Drew. Over the course of a few weeks we saw improvement in Drew’s responsiveness to obey simple commands because our relationship with her has improved through play. We continued with sessions with Kimberlee and then eventually had Drew go through a 4 week board and train. This was the most rewarding experience ! Throughout the 4 weeks we had check ins where we saw Drew becoming more and more obedient. Her leash walking went from night to day, her ability to respond to commands like “come” and “place” were nothing short of life-changing both inside the house and out. She learned to stay close on walks, and how to sit and go down when waiting for specific permission from us to do something. Our relationship with our dog has improved so much since ClarityK9 came into our lives. Our next challenge is to navigate adding a human baby to the equation so ClarityK9 has already been helping us with the process. And we are very thankful to have them as part of our “village” of support—we HIGHLY recommend their services!! Just hire them! You will not regret it.”

“We were introduced to Kimberlee from Korean K9 Rescue when we adopted our dog and worked with her and Andrew for a few sessions after bringing our dog home, since our dog had behavioral issues and had been previously returned several times to the rescue. A year later, we reached out to Kimberlee after a scary biting incident, and moved forward with an intensive 6-week board and train. Her communication throughout our dog's stay was top-notch; I'm talking daily pictures, videos, texts and progress updates. I felt like I knew what my dog was doing at all times of the day, and was able to witness her improvements in training in videos. We, as humans, also learned a lot from Kimberlee and our relationship with our dog has changed dramatically since her 6 week board and train. Kimberlee is intuitive in understanding a dog's previous traumas and working with them in a psychologically informed manner. I have so many great things to say about Kimberlee's work, but what was most remarkable to me was her ability to understand my dog's intense love of play and her ability to use that activity as a way for us to build respect, trust, love and discipline. We also learned the coolest little leash maneuver (to address our dog's habit of lunging at others dogs) that still makes me feel like a total pro when we're out on walks around our busy neighborhood. We knew we loved Kimberlee when we saw our dog after 6-weeks and could see the major progress, but a few months later, we had a short boarding scheduled and our dog could not have been more ecstatic to see Kimberlee and Andrew. That was not our experience when we briefly tried another trainer, where our dog was terrified and anxious, which told us that something was wrong. Dog's tell you when someone is a good person and our dog told us that Kimberlee is a GREAT person! Over a year and a half later, we still talk about how far our dog has come and how our life is so, so much more manageable because of it. Sure, it's expensive, but we consider it an investment into our future family, as having a well-trained dog is crucial when you think about one day bringing a baby into the picture. It was worth every penny!”

We have trusted Kim with our high energy & anxious Vizsla since 2015, when we first met her at a Veterinarian office. She handles our challenging dog with ease, and we’re quick to try and book her any time we need a sitter. She is trustworthy, dedicated, disciplined, and friendly. Heck, most times we return home to a more tired & well behaved dog than when we left! We’ve trusted her for years, and will continue to do so for many more to come!”

Clarity K9 has been a life changer. My dog and I have recently made a big move to a new city and we were basically uprooting everything we were used to and starting fresh. My dog had severe separation anxiety and very bad leash reactivity. It got to the point of him reacting to the people we walked past. Through a recommendation we heard about Clarity K9 and after a 4 week board and train, my dog came back a changed dog. Of course there was a lot of work to be done with the both of us but Kimberlee and Andrew have helped bridge a communication barrier between us that set us up for success. Now tubby has good leash manners and he has grown more and more confident as a dog. He looks to me more for guidance rather than trying to handle situations by himself. They helped me become the responsible and trustworthy owner that tubby needed. I could not recommend them enough. Honestly the best investment I made into our relationship in his four years with me. Thank you soooooo much.
